Until this point I had not bought anything from the Maybelline Vivids line. So I decided to take the plunge. My friend and fellow beauty blogger Kelly from Lipstick and Fabulosity had worn Fuschia Flash to work. It looked fabulous on her, so I decided I needed to buy one or two from this line as well. I chose Brazen Berry and Vivid Rose. Brazen Berry is a slightly sheer, mid toned purple with a cream finish that can be built to fully opaque. Vivid Rose is a slightly sheer, mid toned rose shade with a cream finish which can also be built to fully opaque. I like that you can wear these lightly for a wash of color or can a wear it full on for a lovely pop of color.
This week Maybelline lipsticks are spend $10 get $3ECB. I had two $2.00 off one Maybelline lipstick. Each lipstick is $7.99 or $15.98 for both less $4.00 in Maybelline coupons and I had a 20% off shopping pass. The shopping pass gave me a discount of $3.19 and I have the cashier a $3.00 ECB. This left my out of pocket cost at $5.82 for both lipsticks or $2.91 for each.
Next up are two delightful choices from the Fergie Centerstage Collection from Wet n Wild. I love this formula as it wears well; yet,its not drying like the MegaLast line. The Fergie Collection has a little shine and a lot of pigmentation. I own two others from this line and I really enjoy them. I chose Fuchsianista which is a mid toned magenta with a slight bluish duochrome finish. Ferguson Crest Cabernet is a deep plum berry shade with a more satin finish. It seems to have a little less shine when on the lips and it has great wear time. It's a lovely deep vampy shade that is still really wearable.
Each lipstick is $3.79 but this week it is buy one get one 50% off or $5.68 for both. I had two $1.00 off Wet n Wild lipsticks plus my 20% off shopping pass. The shopping pass only applied to the full priced lipstick. So I only received a $0.76 off for my shopping pass. There $2.92 for both or $1.46 for each.
The last little jewel that I bought is Milani Uptown Mauve. I decided at the spur of the moment to pick up a new lipstick from Milani. While in CVS I was pulling up swatches of the Milani Color Statement Lipsticks to determine which shade I really wanted to buy. After much debating with myself I finally settled on Uptown Mauve.
Uptown Mauve is more berry than purple with a cream finish. It actually leans a little toward magenta. I love the finish of the Milani Color Statement Lipsticks. You can't complain about such a great formula at such an amazing price. These lipsticks run $5.79 at my CVS and I used my 20% shopping pass for a discount of $1.16. Therefore I paid only $4.63 for this wonder! I spent less than $14.00 for all 5 lipsticks.
I am more than thrilled with my shopping trip to CVS. I purchased a bunch of really great lipsticks for a great price. I am really looking forward to playing with these guys. All of these seem to be great lipsticks and I am fortunate to have found such great sales on them. While I didn't purchase everything on my shopping list I am quite pleased with what I did purchase.
